Hello everyone!

Today Liverpool Airport at a press conference will officially announce that the airport is to change its name to Liverpool John Lennon Airport. I have sent them my good wishes and have said that it makes me happy that Liverpool has taken this opportunity to remember one of it’s most famous children in a way that reaches millions of people.

As some people may know I collect Beatles memorabilia. Last month, I bought at auction Paul McCartney’s original lyrics of “Fool On The Hill”. The collection is looking good and I’m really proud of it, and I’d like to share it with you all. So I’ve talked to the website designers and we’re preparing a Memorabilia Gallery to go up on the site. Previously, I had lent some items to a special display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in the USA … they are now on their way to the UK where they will eventually be put on exhibition.

Other news on the site! The web designers have been extra busy preparing exciting new features which will be coming soon - look out for full length versions of the videos in the Lair, an expanded Biography and a Discography. Right now though you can check out the new front end to the Cooler and a major update of the new area for younger visitors, ‘Too Young To Vote’. Thanks to those who have submitted artwork for this new section, keep it coming! For those visitors without Flash we’ve optimised the front end of the to automatically serve up an HTML alternative.

Don’t forget to enter our monthly competition - you could win a Photograph Smile Promo pack! And if you aren’t lucky enough to win one of the prizes check out the shop where you can buy “Photograph Smile” and a selection of t-shirts.

All the best, until next time...
