The Hunting of the Snark is released with Julian making a guest appearance as the Baker. The album is a musical interpretation of the Lewis Carol poem done by Mike Batt.

Julian joins Carmine Roja's on stage at NYC's China Club to perform "Stick Around" and "Big Mama"
Julian appears as the Baker in the Hunting of the Snark a musical written by Mike Batt based on the Lewis Carrol story at London's Royal Albert Hall. The evening, a musical benefit for the deaf, was attended by Prince Andrew's wife, Fergie and featured the London Symphony Orchestra.
The Beatles are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Yoko, Sean, and Julian Lennon attend. Paul McCartney did not attend stating in a letter that the continuing business differences with the other ex-Beatles was the reason for his absence. Other inductees into the Hall of Fame this night include the Beach Boys, the Drifters, Leadbelly, Bob Dylan, Les Paul, Woody Guthrie, the Supremes, and Berry Gordy, Jr. Mike Love of the Beach Boys later makes remarks that are highly critical of McCartney.
Julian is interviewed in New York for a documentary about John Lennon titled "Imagine" produced by Andrew Solt.

Imagine a documentary type movie on the life of John Lennon produced by Yoko Ono from out-takes, videos, previously unheard material premieres in New York City. Julian does a couple short interviews during the film.
Julian performs at The Palace in Los Angeles in a concert in benefit of Lee Selwyn, a D.J. who was murdered. Proceeds went to a reward fund.
Now You're In Heaven, a Julian Lennon/John McCurry composition and the first single from the new album, is released in the UK. Filmed in London, the video of the song is directed by noted British commercial director Tony Kaye.
